R I P, everyone who eats these. They’re truly dark chocolate cupcakes TO DIE FOR!
Everyone loves chocolate, and if you don’t I question your humanity. It is a widely accepted truth that chocolate injects the joy of life into your soul. The same can probably be said of the chocolate cupcake. There are many out there, and some of them are worth a try (I dig the ultimate chocolate cupcake from The Cupcake Project). But chocolate cupcake recipes can be tricky. They may get the texture right but lack intense flavor that really makes dark chocolate cupcakes to die for. Or they may get the chocolate flavor on point but find the texture is too dry. I think a dark chocolate cupcake recipe should be the best of both worlds, which is why I came up with my own. This one is for the dark chocolate cupcake lovers. It results in a tender crumb and a wonderfully rich, almost tobacco chocolate flavor. Like I said, R I P everyone.
I use special dark chocolate cocoa powder, which gives it a gorgeous black-brown color, and the melted dark chocolate sends it right off the charts. I especially love these dark chocolate cupcakes when using Green & Black’s Organic 70% dark chocolate. It is, hands down, my favorite dark chocolate on the market because of its high cocoa butter content and silky, deep chocolate flavor and mouthfeel. It smells wonderful, too!
Using a mixture of white and brown sugars boosts flavor and texture, while sour cream keeps it rich and moist, giving the people the dark chocolate cupcakes they want! It truly makes for a world-class indulgent treat. Give it a go and tell me what you think of this super rich dark chocolate cupcake. And for even more chocolate overload, top it with a whipped chocolate ganache!
